Beautyworld Dubai is an annual business-to-business trade exhibition bringing together the international beauty, fragrance, cosmetics, skincare, hair, personal-care, packaging, technology and manufacturing industries in Dubai. Organised by Messe Frankfurt Middle East and held at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the three-day event is designed principally for industry professionals: manufacturers, brands, distributors, retailers, buyers, salon professionals, product developers, packaging specialists, fragrance houses, entrepreneurs and other businesses working across the beauty supply chain. Formerly known as Beautyworld Middle East, it enters a new chapter as Beautyworld Dubai for its 30th edition, taking place from 6-8 October 2026.

From a Regional Exhibition to an International Beauty Marketplace

Beautyworld’s history in Dubai stretches back to 1996. Its evolution over the following three decades tells a wider story about the growth of Dubai as a meeting point between beauty businesses in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas.

By 2018, the 23rd edition occupied approximately 61,000 square metres and hosted 1,736 exhibitors from 62 countries, eventually attracting 36,394 trade visitors from 139 countries. The following year brought another sizeable increase: official 2019 figures recorded 1,803 exhibitors and 44,256 visitors from 138 countries.

After the disruption to international exhibitions in 2020, Beautyworld returned to Dubai in October 2021 for its 25th edition. It was staged as an in-person international event at DWTC, supplemented by a digital platform offering functions including matchmaking and virtual connections. That return also introduced Beauty Technology as a dedicated segment, reflecting the expanding role of devices and digital tools within the beauty business.

Growth accelerated quickly afterwards. The 2022 edition welcomed 1,442 exhibitors and 52,760 visitors, while Messe Frankfurt reported a 97% satisfaction rating among surveyed visitors. In 2023, participation rose to more than 1,750 exhibitors and more than 65,000 visitors from 156 countries. The 2024 edition then reached 1,966 exhibitors and 71,439 visitors from more than 164 countries.

The biggest step came in 2025. The 29th edition expanded across 22 halls at Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together more than 2,500 exhibitors from 68 countries. Messe Frankfurt reported 85,291 visitors from 178 countries, with international attendance rising by almost 31% year on year. Specialist industry publication BW Confidential also described 2025 as the show’s largest edition to date, highlighting particularly strong momentum in fragrance.

Why Beautyworld Middle East Became Beautyworld Dubai

The move from Beautyworld Middle East to Beautyworld Dubai is one of the defining developments of the 30th edition.

Messe Frankfurt Middle East describes the change as an evolution rather than a break with the show’s history. The reasoning is closely tied to Dubai’s expanding role not simply as an import and distribution gateway for the Gulf, but as a city in which beauty businesses are being founded, financed, developed and connected with international markets.

Show Director Ravi Ramchandani has said that the new identity reflects the direction in which the marketplace has developed, while Teresa Heitor, Portfolio Director of Consumer Goods at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, describes the ambition for Beautyworld Dubai as creating one of the world’s most internationally diverse professional beauty platforms.

The name therefore gives greater prominence to the city in which the exhibition has spent three decades building its industry network. It also makes sense commercially. Dubai sits between major markets in Asia, Africa and Europe and has developed an extensive ecosystem of beauty retailers, distributors, regional headquarters, fragrance companies and emerging brands.

One Show Spanning the Beauty Supply Chain

Part of Beautyworld Dubai’s usefulness to the trade is the breadth of businesses represented within the exhibition.

Its current product structure covers Cosmetics & Skincare; Personal Care & Hygiene; Hair, Nails & Salon Supplies; Supply Chain & Services; Finished Fragrances; Fragrance Compounds; Beauty Tech; Prestigepack; Beauty Beginnings; and International Country Pavilions.

That structure allows different layers of the industry to meet within the same exhibition. A skincare company, for example, may be able to study finished products and market positioning while also meeting contract manufacturers, ingredient suppliers and packaging specialists. Retailers and distributors can compare established brands with newer labels, while entrepreneurs can explore the practical elements involved in taking a product from concept to shelf.

Beauty Tech has become increasingly relevant as artificial intelligence, connected devices, diagnostic tools and virtual experiences enter beauty retail and professional services. Prestigepack, meanwhile, concentrates on premium beauty packaging and design, while Supply Chain & Services covers areas such as raw materials, machinery, packaging and contract manufacturing.

For 2026, confirmed participants highlighted by organisers include India’s Lakmé, South Korea’s SKIN1004, professional beauty distributor Nazih Group, and packaging companies Aptar Beauty, Egisa and Bormioli Luigi.

Fragrance Has Become One of Beautyworld Dubai's Defining Strengths

Few categories illustrate the show’s development more clearly than fragrance.

For 2026, finished fragrance expands into Za’abeel Hall 7, helping take Beautyworld Dubai’s fragrance offering to more than 220 exhibitors across approximately 19,000 square metres. Confirmed names include Lattafa Perfumes, Armaf, French Avenue, Riiffs, Afnan Perfumes, Gissah and Al Majed for Oud, while the fragrance creation and ingredient side includes companies such as Givaudan, dsm-firmenich, Symrise, Takasago, CPL Aromas and MANE. Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics is also scheduled to introduce its fragrance range at the 2026 show.

Beyond conventional stands, Beautyworld has developed several experiences around the culture and creation of perfume.

Natural Notes, created with fragrance communications specialist Resperfuma and its founder Virginie Gervason, made its debut in 2025 as a platform for producers of natural fragrance materials. The original edition brought together nine producers representing materials including citrus, rose, oud, vetiver, patchouli, guaiacwood, cardamom and spices. The concept returns in 2026, with participants including Alta Oils, Capua, Jasmine CE, PT Van Aroma and FP Aromatics.

The Next in Fragrance Conference, first introduced in 2025, provides a dedicated knowledge programme around the art, science and commercial future of scent. Its inaugural edition featured Roja Dove, while the 2026 programme is set to be headlined by Aurélien Guichard, creative director and co-founder of Matiere Premiere and senior perfumer at Takasago. Topics range from ingredient sourcing and fragrance retail to artificial intelligence, changing consumer behaviour, luxury, packaging and the international expansion of Middle Eastern fragrance businesses.

Signature Scent: Turning the Exhibition Into an Olfactory Experience

One of Beautyworld’s most distinctive fragrance activations is Signature Scent.

International fragrance houses create original compositions interpreting the identity of the event, which visitors experience through AirParfum® technology before voting for their preferred scent.

In 2024, Expressions Parfumées perfumers Anne Louise and Elodie Bernard won with Zenith Echos. The 2025 competition brought together 16 fragrance houses and was won by Spanish fragrance company EMSA with Lumière D’Orient, composed by perfumer Marc Cuesta.

It is a good example of how Beautyworld Dubai combines trade activity with sensory discovery. For fragrance buyers, creators and brands, the event is not limited to viewing finished bottles: ingredients, perfumery, storytelling, technology and consumer response can all be encountered within the same show.

Education, Artistry and the Live Beauty Programme

Beautyworld Dubai increasingly operates as both an exhibition and an industry learning environment.

The Next in Beauty Conference examines the commercial forces reshaping beauty, including retail, investment, technology, supply chains, sustainability and consumer behaviour. For 2026, Mary Phillips, founder of m.ph Beauty, is scheduled to appear on the programme in conversation with Olivia Phillips, founder of The Desk and Editor at Large at Harper’s Bazaar Arabia.

Mary Phillips also joins Patrick Ta, founder of Patrick Ta Beauty, as one of the headline names at The Makeup Studio, where each will deliver an extended masterclass. Other artists and brands scheduled for the 2026 programme include Vimi Joshi, MAC, Vivienne Sabo, PROVOC, Addoony Beauty, 2Wins Makeup, Glossy Makeup and Love Generation.

Professional hair education is centred around beautyLIVE, with celebrity hairstylist and colourist Dimitris Giannetos and MENSPIRE co-founder Josh Lamonaca among the confirmed 2026 names.

These stages give working professionals another reason to attend beyond sourcing. The show floor becomes a place to observe technique, discuss changing consumer expectations and hear directly from founders, artists, perfumers and industry executives.

A Platform for Emerging Beauty Businesses

Beautyworld Dubai is not built solely around established multinational companies.

Beauty Beginnings provides dedicated space for independent brands, start-ups and SMEs seeking exposure in the MENA market. The feature debuted in 2024 and returned in 2025 with 18 brands spanning skincare, haircare, fragrance and other beauty categories.

The 2025 show also introduced First Editions, developed with Valérie Kaminov, Managing Director of International Luxury Brand Consultancy (ILBC), as a curated platform for international brands making their first significant appearance in the region. Participants included names such as Juara, Instytutum and Day+.

Together with the International Country Pavilions and the broader exhibitor programme, these discovery areas reinforce one of Beautyworld Dubai’s central commercial functions: connecting brands at different stages of development with buyers, retailers, suppliers and prospective distribution partners.

The Beautyworld Dubai Awards

Recognition of products and businesses has also become part of the event through the Beautyworld Dubai Awards, which return for their seventh edition in 2026.

Seventeen categories cover areas including skincare, cosmetics, hair, fragrance, packaging, technology, personal care, male grooming, retail and brand development. Entries are assessed by an independent industry panel; confirmed 2026 judges include Ahaana Khosla, Anastasia Achilleos, Kelly Kovack, Jacqui Burchell, Olivia Phillips, Gaëlle Doré, Dory Younes and other beauty, fragrance, retail and media specialists. The 2026 ceremony takes place on 7 October at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre.

The previous edition attracted more than 800 entries. Among the 2025 winners were KAYALI’s Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81 Eau de Parfum Intense for Popular Fragrance of the Year, Omanluxury’s Caden for Niche Fragrance of the Year, Huda Beauty’s Easy Bake Setting Spray for Cosmetic Product of the Year and its Ube Collection for Media Campaign of the Year.

Other winners included Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics, MÄNN Skincare, Day+, OJAR, Beautique, Laverne, Mercury Global Packaging and Osmo. Master perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud received the Lifetime Achievement Award, which was accepted in his absence by Jérôme Viaud, Mayor of Grasse.

Beautyworld Dubai 2026: Essential Information

The 30th edition of Beautyworld Dubai will run from Tuesday 6 October to Thursday 8 October 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre, with exhibition hours from 10am to 6pm each day.

The event is strictly for trade visitors aged 18 and above, and online registration is mandatory. Visitor registration remains complimentary until 31 August 2026. From 1 September 2026, a US$75 registration fee applies through the end of the exhibition. Messe Frankfurt says the revised registration model is intended to maintain a professional audience focused on sourcing, supplier discovery, distribution partnerships and business development.

Why Beautyworld Dubai Matters

Beautyworld Dubai’s significance comes less from any single stage, product category or celebrity appearance than from the way those elements connect.

A fragrance founder can meet an ingredient supplier, bottle manufacturer, distributor and retailer during the same visit. A salon professional can move from product sourcing to live education. An international skincare company can study regional competitors while speaking directly with prospective commercial partners. A new brand can appear alongside businesses that already operate internationally.

Thirty years after the exhibition was established in Dubai, its scale has changed considerably, and so has the direction of the beauty trade moving through the city. The 2026 rebrand captures that transition. Beautyworld Dubai is no longer simply an exhibition serving a regional beauty market; it has developed into an international meeting place where the Middle East participates directly in the global exchange of beauty products, ideas, craftsmanship and commercial opportunity.
