Fashion AI Expo will return to Paris this autumn, staging a four-day programme from 2 to 5 October alongside Paris Fashion Week. Since its debut, the event has expanded from a single day of programming to a series of workshops, a runway show, and a private dinner for senior industry figures. The programme will be split across two venues in the city, the Artistic Palace and Shangri-La Paris.

Inside Fashion AI Expo: October Edition 2026

The October edition opens on 2 October at the Artistic Palace in Paris with an exhibition, demo day, and conference open to the full professional audience. Brands, press, investors, and technology companies will be able to walk the exhibition floor. The main stage will host product demonstrations, keynote talks, and panel discussions throughout the day.

A Workshop Day follows on 3 October, also at the Artistic Palace, offering hands-on sessions and a closer look at hybrid production methods. Partners and selected professionals get to have closed-door demonstrations and collaborative sessions separate from the main exhibition floor.

The event shifts location for 4 October, when a runway show takes place at Shangri-La Paris in partnership with Fashion Forward. An evening networking reception follows the event. The final day, 5 October, is reserved for a C-level dinner at a private venue, bringing together chief executives, luxury house directors, and investors.

Fashion AI Expo places itself as a platform connecting the fashion and technology sectors. It sheds light on AI themes shaping the industry, including generative AI, virtual try-on technology, immersive commerce, digital fashion, retail innovation, and luxury innovation. The Expo will also provide a stage for the finer points of AI content creation, sustainability, the future of consumer experience, and fashion tech startups.

Fashion AI Expo’s First Edition: Paris Fashion Week, Cannes Film Festival, and Sustainability AI Summit

This will be the platform’s fourth event since it was founded by Olga Gasnier and launched on 6 March 2026, with the inaugural edition of Fashion AI Expo during Paris Fashion Week with Maison Pierre Cardin as guest of honour. The house opened its evening with a runway presentation and Rodrigo Basilicati-Cardin, President of House Pierre Cardin’s thoughts on AI in fashion.

Fashion AI Expo said the debut drew more than 200 participants from over ten countries, 14 exhibitors, and six partners. Forbes described it as a meeting ground for AI startups and designers.

Since then, the Fashion AI Expo staged an activation in May 2026 during the Cannes Film Festival held on the Croisette. The event featured eight activations, involved two partners, and included more than ten participating brands.

Later that same month, on 30 May 2026, Fashion AI Expo presented the Sustainability AI Summit alongside Royal Jump at Château de Bertichères, a gathering focused on the role of artificial intelligence in sustainable fashion practices. The summit brought together speakers and brands from three countries, with nine or more brands taking part.

Role of Artificial Intelligence in Fashion and Sustainability

The event’s growth comes as fashion brands are scaling their use of artificial intelligence beyond campaigns to optimise customer experience. Fashion AI Expo reports that the industry has moved through several stages since early experiments with image generation and copywriting. Now AI tools are directly embedded in design, production, and retail systems.

The report cited Zalando, which generates 90 per cent of its on-site marketing content using AI. This technological shift from isolated projects into everyday production is evident across the industry. Rodrigo Basilicati Cardin, president of House Pierre Cardin, has spoken about how artificial intelligence can help brands simulate new pieces before they are physically produced. He emphasised that the approach could reduce material waste and shorten design timelines.

Executives part of previous editions have pointed to a shift in how the luxury sector views artificial intelligence. Olivier Reynaud, co-founder and chief executive of AIVE, said AI is becoming a strategic imperative for luxury and fashion brands. The report pointed out that Ralph Lauren and Mango are building AI tools around their own product data and archives. Virtual try-ons are moving toward becoming a standard customer expectation.

With AI being such a huge part of the fashion ecosystem, it deserves its own platform and conversation. As Nathalie Dionne, chief executive of Thalie Paris, said, Fashion AI Expo is a curated space where luxury and genuine technological innovation meet. Many of the conversations held here do not happen anywhere else in the industry.

Fashion AI Expo’s four-day programme falls inside Paris Fashion Week SS27, running from 28 September to 6 October. As per the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode’s official calendar, the women’s ready-to-wear event includes 68 shows and 33 presentations, including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Celine, Balenciaga, Miu Miu, and Loewe.

Access to the Fashion AI Expo’s October programme is structured across several participation formats and tiers, with entry to the runway show and the closing dinner. Full details on formats and how to apply are available through the Fashion AI Expo website.
