Abbott Lyon launched Abbott Lyon Man in September, a menswear line of stainless steel jewellery and watches sold on the Bath-based brand’s own website, with four leather accessories due before the end of October. Founder and CEO Jezz Skelton said that “meaningful gifting in the men’s space has been pretty under-served,” and the pieces can be personalised with names, dates and initials.

Abbott Lyon Man Brings Personalised Men's Jewellery to the Brand

The Rivet Ring, the entry point to the men’s jewellery, is £69, and the Rivet Pendant Necklace is £79. The Rivet Cuff Bangle costs £89. All three are stainless steel with a satin-brushed finish, and the brand ties the rivet detailing to the strength of connection (a great deal to ask of a fastener). The cuff carries its engraving along the inside of the band.

Jewellery Focus, which reported the sub-brand on 21 September, says the launch responds to what the brand sees as a gap in personalised men’s jewellery, pairing personal details with more understated designs. Skelton told the title he sees an opportunity for everyday men’s jewellery that “blends sentiment and style.”

The Memento cuff, at £65, takes up to ten letters inside the band along with an optional birthstone, and a £69 fingerprint version is engraved from a print the buyer captures through the Abbott Lyon app. A gold Intersection Cuff Bangle at £69 borrows its shape from the brand’s logo, with an 18ct gold plating, a brushed finish and room for a subtle engraving.

Watches Start at £159 in Abbott Lyon Man's Range

The 39mm Mayfair Brown Leather Watch leads the range at £159. It pairs a brown croc-embossed strap and a cream lacquered dial with a satin-brushed finish, and the caseback can be engraved with a date or a private message.

For a sportier wrist, there is the Greenwich Chronograph 40, from £179, with a black sunray dial in a silver-tone case. The adjustable silicone strap has a quick-release fitting, and the chronograph tracks 24 hours, minutes, seconds and the date. The brand’s site lists a five-year warranty on every piece. The Knightsbridge 40 sports watch is also £179, on a stainless steel bracelet with an octagon-shaped blue steel sunray dial debossed with the brand’s Intersection logo.

Leather Accessories Extend Abbott Lyon Man's Personalisation Offer

Four leather pieces arrive before the end of October: a wash bag, a card holder, a passport holder and a photo keyring, each in black, dark green, navy or tan with subtle branding. Handwritten messages come in a choice of fonts and finishes, and the brand lists the card holder and keyring among the pieces where the personalisation shows.

From Mango Bikes to Abbott Lyon's Direct-to-Consumer Model

Skelton started Mango Bikes in 2012 while at university, selling online at roughly half typical retail prices, and left in 2014. A few weeks later he set up Abbott Lyon with co-founder Asha Skelton, applying the same direct model to accessories. He told Retail Gazette in 2019 that watches suited him better than bikes because they are far smaller and easier to ship.

The name, he told Drapers, came from a friend’s story about a four-year-old in suede Chelsea boots and a Ralph Lauren shirt. Womenswear followed in autumn 2018 with a 26-piece collection pitched around “the complete luxe look” in a whole outfit for under £200, with prices from £24 for a camisole to £79 for a blazer, sold only through the brand’s own website. Skelton described his customer to Drapers as an aspirational, hard-working woman aged 23 to 35, and Stacey Solomon’s celestial-inspired collection followed in autumn 2024.

The gap Skelton saw was in premium items at accessible prices, particularly in fashion and watches, and he has described his customer as someone who wants designer accessories but cannot buy them without saving first. He calls himself “a brand and marketing man,” and on the crowded digital accessories market, he said: “You have to stand out and be your own thing to make it work.”

The brand keeps design, photography, packaging and fulfilment in-house, with design teams in Bath and London.

Men's Jewellery Market Gives Abbott Lyon Room to Grow

Skelton told FashionNetwork the men’s range is built around everything the brand is known for: everyday style, premium quality, great value and personalisation. A YouGov poll of 1,000 British men in May 2025 found 17% had bought jewellery for themselves in the past year, rising to 24% among Gen Z and falling to 14% among Baby Boomers. Necklaces or chains (33%) and watches (32%) led those purchases, and 47% bought mostly online, though only 18% shopped through brand websites.

Mintel’s 2024 report on UK jewellery and watch retailing found men buying more jewellery since 2022, and its 2025 edition projected the sector to grow 3.6% to £6.41bn.
