Düsseldorf Fashion Days stages its summer runway show on Königsallee on Saturday, July 25, 2026, the centrepiece of a city-wide Festival Edition that closes out the trade event’s July 22 to 29 run under its new banner, DFD by FASHION NET.

RIANI, Bugatti, True Religion, Fashionette, and footwear label Sheme Shoes will present collections on the Kö, with a dedicated segment for Sicilian designers marking the anniversary of Düsseldorf’s city partnership with Palermo. Wirtschaftsförderung Düsseldorf expects around 75,000 visitors, most of the day’s events free to attend.

RIANI, Bugatti, True Religion and Fashionette are confirmed for the runway alongside footwear label Sheme Shoes, the five names organisers have listed for this year’s Kö show. This year’s show sits on the same stretch of Königsallee that hosted the IGEDO catwalk from 1949 onward.

Every order platform, side event and fixed date for 2026 is now listed on a single site, fashion-net-duesseldorf.de, under the fair’s new DFD by FASHION NET branding, a change organisers have said is meant to make clearer who runs the format behind the scenes.

Accademia di Belle Arti Palermo Designers Showcase Collections on Königsallee

Students and graduates from the Accademia di Belle Arti Palermo will present work on the Kö this year, their participation funded through the European Commission and timed to the anniversary of Düsseldorf’s city partnership with Palermo.

The AMD Academy of Fashion and Design holds its own pre-opening on the same stage, giving graduating design talent from one of Germany’s better-known fashion schools a slot ahead of the established commercial names on the bill.

Creative Events and Pop-Ups at Düsseldorf Fashion Days

A live illustrator is part of Saturday’s programme this year. Illustrator Lisa Taniyama, who works under the Studio Rabotti name, will spend the day creating live sketches inspired by visitors’ outfits. BUNTE magazine is running a cover shoot activation nearby, giving visitors a mock cover shot of their own alongside the runway programme, and a miniature Eiffel Tower installation anchors a Petit Paris theme spread across several points along the Kö this year.

Roughly 200 individual offerings and more than 250 participating brands, retailers and creatives are involved across the day, figures released at the July 9 press conference. Pop-up stores from GUESS, van Laack, BYD and LERROS fill out the retail side of the programme around the runway. THE DORF THE MARKET, an open-air market in the Hofgarten curated by the local lifestyle title THE DORF, gives visitors a second stop within walking distance of the Kö, built around independent labels and design pieces.

Trade Shows and Events During Düsseldorf Fashion Days

Four order platforms structure the trade week around Saturday’s show, all built around the coming spring/summer 2027 season. Supreme Woman & Men brings together international fashion labels, spanning established premium brands and designers with a more progressive outlook. Two Days, curated by Igedo Exhibitions, splits across two venues this year: Halle 29 opens July 25 and Kap. One opens a day earlier on July 24, both running through July 27 with a focus on footwear, accessories, and bags.

A fourth platform, Salon Düsseldorf at Malkasten on Jacobistraße, opens earliest of the four, on July 23. More than 600 showrooms and agencies along Kaiserswerther Straße and across the city round out the trade side of the week. Organisers are again offering trade visitors a free shuttle service this year.

A separate street festival, Loretto Summer, returns to nearby Unterbilk on the same day as the Kö show. It extends the fair’s footprint beyond the Kö and Hofgarten axis, where the runway and THE DORF THE MARKET are staged. Organisers describe it as the sixth edition of a street-festival format tied to the fashion days, with Lorettostraße closed to traffic and shops along the strip staying open later than usual.

Sustainability at Düsseldorf Fashion Days

SUSTAIN!, the fair’s dedicated sustainability strand, ran during the winter edition of DFD, held January 21 to 28 this year, pairing pop-up stores from local and sustainable brands with panels on style and sustainability at the Theatermuseum, plus an invitation-only B2B conference on the opening day featuring speakers from the fashion and beauty industry.

The same weekend, a walking itinerary through the city’s independent design scene was added, moving small groups between ateliers, showrooms and shops, with guiding support drawn from COSH! Deutschland, THE DORF and the AMD Academy. The walking tour opened at the Super Happy Store, where a group of Düsseldorf designers presented their collections and engaged visitors in conversations about their creative process. Whether the Summer Festival Edition folds a comparable sustainability programme into its Kö and Hofgarten footprint or keeps that strand reserved for the winter calendar hasn’t been detailed in the materials released so far for July 25.
