Birkenstock 1774 launched its FW26 Holiday Collection, dressing the Arizona sandal and Boston clog in pony-effect cowhide and shearling. The capsule is on sale at 1774.com and select retailers worldwide, with prices running from $455 to $520.

Pony-effect cowhide, which the brand counts as a signature of its 1774 holiday season, returns in two new colourways, red and zebra. A black smooth leather lining and silver hardware temper the prints. The Boston in pony-like fur is listed at $485, with nappa leather covering the cork-latex footbed and gold 1774 branding in the heel cup. An exclusive 1774 buckle closes the strap, and each pair arrives in a 1774 box with a dustbag.

Dark Chocolate Shearling Returns to the Birkenstock 1774 Arizona and Boston

The shearling Arizona and Boston, first introduced in the debut FW24 1774 holiday collection, return in a deep brown. Shearling covers each silhouette inside and out, and silver buckles and rivets add the metal. Matching suede lines the footbed in the shearling pairs.

Karl Birkenstock designed both silhouettes, and the brand points to the principles of Brutalism as their inspiration. Birkenstock describes the 1774 line as revisiting archive styles through artisanal craftsmanship. The original cork-latex footbed carries over unchanged.

Birkenstock Boston Turns 50 in 2026

The Boston, launched in 1976, turns 50 this year, and 1774, Birkenstock’s Paris-based special-projects line, has spent much of 2026 handing it to other designers. Birkenstock by ETRO reached stores globally on 10 September after debuting on ETRO’s Fall/Winter 2026 runway in Milan. The clog comes in earthy suede with Western-inspired embroidery and a wide leather strap with an ornate silver buckle in a palette of taupe and chocolate, and the outsole carries ETRO’s paisley over Birkenstock’s bone-pattern tread. Both pairs are unisex.

The Gizeh sandal, first released in 1983, gets long beige and brown fringe, alongside Western-style buckles and rivets bearing ETRO’s Pegasus emblem. Birkenstock calls it the first chapter of an ongoing partnership.

Cole Bennett, the music video director and record executive, followed with his Boston Wooly Moon Buckle on 1 October at $295, in off-white wool felt with a microfibre lining and a crescent buckle cast in antique dark copper, for the clog’s 50th anniversary. The holiday release stays closer to the original designs, using print, colour and texture to distinguish the Arizona and Boston.

Holiday Footwear Collection: Dolce&Gabbana x Mytheresa

Dolce&Gabbana x Mytheresa, the retailer’s second holiday capsule with the house, went live on 21 October, a day ahead of Birkenstock, and is exclusive to the retailer. Mytheresa chief executive Francis Belin counts more than 10 collections with the house since 2017. Here the dresses and evening separates lead, and the shoes follow their star motif.

Sequins, sheer chiffon and metallic accents run through a halter dress, a short sequin dress, a pyjama pantsuit and a gown with billowing sleeves. The strappy sandals and embellished stilettos repeat the house star motif, and structured handbags, glittering clutches, chokers and earrings sit beside them.

Stuart Weitzman Holiday Shoes Add Crystal Embellishment

Stuart Weitzman introduced this Holiday 2026 collection in November 2025, with a Keke Palmer campaign called Life of the Party. Radiant-cut crystals cover the Vinnie Radiant Slingback 50, an update of the label’s best-selling sculptural slingback, and the Sabrina Radiant Ankle-Strap Platform, which has a 75mm block heel and satin and square crystal detailing. The Sabrina list at $950 on stuartweitzman.com, nearly twice the $485 of Birkenstock’s pony-effect Boston. The knotted SoPlaya Slide 75 supplies the slide alternative.

Coclico Shearling Slides Offer an Alternative to Birkenstock 1774

Coclico is the closest rival to the Birkenstock shearling pairs. Its Holiday 2026 gift edit, drawn from the Fall/Winter 2026-27 collection Her Light, centres on the Dia Shearling Slide and the Danke Slide, both cut with the label’s sacchetto construction.

The Dia comes in black leather and two crinkled patents, and the Danke in metallic Acero leather and espresso snake embossed leather. The Celeste T-Strap comes in metallic and iridescent leathers, and the Sontag Slingback Pump is in Boue crinkled patent. The Curie Loafer in black crinkled patent has gold coin hardware, and the Quilla Clog in bronze crinkled metallic leather sits nearest the Boston.

The Danke Slide is $360 on Coclico’s site, and the Dia Shearling Slide $395. The Curie Loafer is $435. All three sit below the $455 floor of the Birkenstock capsule. Boots climb higher: the Hester Boot in pecan leather, one of two boots in the edit alongside the Suttner, is $475, above that floor. Maria La Rosa’s metallic silk socks, the edit’s smaller gift, sell for €45 at the Dutch retailer Retreat.
