Kenneth Cole introduced its first handbag collection this week, a fifteen-style range designed under Emily Cole, the company founder’s daughter and the label’s executive vice president of creative direction and product strategy. Loewe also confirmed new pieces in its fall 2026 handbag lineup, including a suede version of the Amazona 180 and special editions of the Puzzle and Flamenco created with artist Cosima von Bonin. Here’s what’s actually in each collection.
Kenneth Cole Launches Its First Handbag Collection
Kenneth Cole’s new handbag collection follows the 2024 relaunch of its women’s apparel line, also under Emily Cole, and continued momentum in footwear. The company has described its women’s business as growing at triple-digit rates, and handbags were the obvious next move once that growth held. The new collection draws on the brand’s archives from the 1990s and early 2000s, the period that shaped Kenneth Cole’s original New York identity.
That downtown reference shows up literally in the naming. The Bowery Tote and Crosby Satchel anchor the range, alongside shoulder bags, hobos, totes, crossbodies and evening styles.
The collection spans six design families; prices run from $178 to $498. Industrial detailing nods to the brand’s New York roots, favouring structured silhouettes and clean edges.
The bags are built to survive a commute and still look considered at dinner. Emily Cole said the collection retains Kenneth Cole’s “clean, confident and ultra-cool spirit,” while placing greater emphasis on detail, quality and functionality. The handbags are produced through a separate arrangement, with Concept One Accessories handling manufacturing and distribution for the new line.
Handbags carry a lower price point than a full ready-to-wear look. The apparel relaunch built the audience for a renewed Kenneth Cole womenswear identity. The handbags give that audience a specific new category to shop, priced well below the apparel line’s $495 ceiling.
Loewe Updates the Amazona 180 for Fall 2026
Loewe’s fall collection covers three bags. The Amazona 180 itself is not new. Creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez introduced it as part of their spring 2026 debut, reworking the house’s 1975 original for the brand’s 180th anniversary. The original Amazona was designed for the working woman of its era, with a durable handle, structured round edges, and an open interior. The 180 update drops one of the two top handles, so the bag is designed to be carried open. The double-L branding sits low and embossed, only fully visible once the bag is worn that way. For fall, it reappears in suede, with removable straps that let it move between top-handle, shoulder, and crossbody depending on the day.
Loewe's Puzzle and Flamenco Get Cosima von Bonin Editions
The Puzzle and Flamenco carry longer histories than the Amazona 180. The Puzzle launched in 2014 under former creative director Jonathan Anderson and built its reputation on a geometric, folded cuboid shape unlike anything else in Loewe’s range at the time. Kay Barron, fashion director at Net-a-Porter, said the platform has sold more than 12,000 units of the Puzzle across its various colourways and sizes and that a Loewe style has sat in the platform’s top five best-selling bags for five consecutive years.
The bag now comes in large, medium, small and mini across a range of leathers, with current retail pricing spanning roughly $2,000 for the fold-tote versions up to $5,750 for the Featherlight nappa lambskin editions.
The Flamenco predates the Puzzle by decades, with a silhouette designed to echo the movement of a flamenco skirt, which is where the name comes from. It originally closed with knotted drawstring ties. The current version has moved to chain detailing instead, and the bag now works as a clutch, shoulder bag, or crossbody depending on how it’s carried. Prices vary widely by size and material, from $2,600 for smaller styles up to well over $5,000 for special editions like the Millefeuille clutch.
For fall 2026, all three bags get a joint treatment through a capsule created with artist Cosima von Bonin, whose work also shaped the season’s show space. The pieces draw on her recurring visual language, lazy animal forms, florals, bold colour pairings and checked patterns, worked into Loewe’s leatherwork through its intarsia technique. The release comes as Loewe continues expanding in the US, with a new store having opened in Scottsdale, Arizona, this month.
