Eberjey, the Miami sleepwear label marking its thirtieth year, has partnered with The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection on a three-piece washable silk capsule. It is the yacht line’s first sleepwear collaboration. The pieces launch Monday, July 13, on the Eberjey online store and inside the onboard boutiques of all three Ritz-Carlton superyachts: Evrima, Ilma and Luminara. Eberjey was founded in 1996 by Ali Mejia and Mariela Rovito, who met as colleagues in their early twenties, and the tie-up lands during the brand’s anniversary year.

What's In Eberjey x Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Capsule

The range stays deliberately small. Two women’s silhouettes, the Inez Washable Silk PJ set, arrive in an exclusive wave print rendered in a custom shade the brand calls Memorable Blue and finished with navy piping. The long set costs $298. The short version costs $278. A men’s long classic pyjama completes the trio, cut in a solid Memorable Blue with matching piping. Sizes run XS through XL for both. Every piece draws its colour from the yacht line’s signature blue, its print from the movement of the waves and the view on board. All three styles are washable silk, a category Eberjey has leaned into recently because it holds up to travel and repeated washing without losing its drape.

Why Eberjey Partnered With The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection

Since Eberjey’s founding, the brand’s pitch has centred on rest and its rituals. The yacht line’s travel model focuses on longer stays in port and a more relaxed style of luxury, making it a natural fit for a sleepwear brand built around comfort. Mariela Rovito, Eberjey’s co-founder and chief executive, said the partnership marks the company’s thirtieth year with a collaboration that reflects who they’ve chosen to work with as the brand has grown.

Rovito said the collaboration appealed to Eberjey because the yacht collection shares the brand’s emphasis on thoughtful hospitality and a relaxed guest experience. She added that the partnership speaks to “moments that invite people to slow down, reconnect and savour life’s quieter luxuries.” Calm has run through the yacht line’s other recent design partnerships too.

Ginori 1735 turned three outdoor spaces aboard Evrima into an Italian-inspired terrace this spring, built around its porcelain collection Il Viaggio di Nettuno. Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz dressed the Pool Deck and Observation Terrace of Ilma in custom tropical prints starting in February, running through the yacht’s Mediterranean season. Eberjey is the collection’s first sleepwear partner specifically, following those design and tableware tie-ins.

Eberjey Brand History and 30th Anniversary

The brand’s origin has none of the polish its current retail footprint suggests. Ali Mejia and Mariela Rovito met as colleagues in their early twenties. Mejia had been designing pyjama prototypes on the side, working with a local patternmaker, inspired by memories of her mother’s European lingerie collection. In 1996, the pair each put in $10,000, left their jobs, and launched Eberjey with no formal business plan, a name borrowed from a Nigerian dialect meaning joy. Growth was slow by design at first.

Rovito has said the two maxed out personal credit cards along the way and learnt to manage cash flow by producing small batches and selling through before ordering more. The brand’s breakthrough came later with the Gisele, a men’s-style pyjama in a soft, drapey knit. The fabric shifted to TENCEL Modal, a temperature-regulating fibre made from renewable beech pulp through a closed-loop process and certified free of harmful dyes under OEKO-TEX standards. Eberjey’s Gisele pyjamas received a boost in visibility when Oprah Winfrey selected them for her 2018 Favorite Things list. It remains one of the brand’s most recognisable products. The company operates five stores, including outposts in Miami, New York and Newport Beach, and sells through more than five hundred retailers worldwide, among them Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and Selfridges.

Previous Eberjey Collaborations and Limited-Edition Capsules

This isn’t Eberjey’s first outside brand partnership. A collection with L’Agence sold out in two weeks. Eberjey’s collaboration with pet brand Maxbone sold out within 48 hours of its release. Earlier tie-ins include beauty brand Ilia, model Lily Aldridge, and tequila brand Casa Del Sol, each run as a quick, limited drop instead of an ongoing licensed line. The Ritz-Carlton project follows that same shape. There’s a defined run and a specific price point, with no word yet on restocks once the capsule sells through. Eberjey has not said how many units of each style were produced for the launch.

Where to Buy the Eberjey x Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Capsule

The capsule goes live Monday, July 13, both online at Eberjey’s website and inside the boutiques aboard Evrima, Ilma and Luminara. Guests already booked on any of the three yachts this summer will have access to the pieces in the onboard boutiques on the same day they go live online. As Eberjey celebrates its 30th anniversary, the collaboration expands its partnership roster beyond fashion and beauty into luxury hospitality.
